Angela Silvey, Attorney
Angela Silvey was born in Honolulu Hawaii while her father was enlisted in the United States Navy and has 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Mrs. Silvey is married to Ryan and has two daughters Taylor and Kennedy. Angela also has multiple nieces and nephews that she enjoys spoiling and spending time with. Angela has a passion for traveling and enjoys taking family vacations every summer with her two girls.
Mrs. Silvey received her undergraduate degree from Columbia College, her graduate degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia and her Juris Doctorate from University of Missouri, Kansas City. Angela is well versed and specializes in all areas of Family Law including family mediation.
Angela is certified as a Guardian Ad Litem and works to represent children in cases where abuse and neglect have been brought to the attention of the court. She is a passionate advocate for children’s rights.
During Law school, Angela spent most of her free time working on the Midwest Innocence Project. She continues to donate countless Pro Bono hours and encourages others in the firm to provide these or reduced rate legal services to those in need.
She enjoys being a Jefferson City Chamber member and volunteers her time as a board member for the Historic City of Jefferson and United Way of Central Missouri.
Angela is licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri licensed and to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western District of Missouri.

Sarah Ernst, Attorney
Sarah Ernst was raised in Rochester, Illinois and moved to Missouri to attend Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri where she earned dual degrees in criminal justice and political science. While in college, Sarah participated on the women's golf and mock trial teams, served as Student Government President, and volunteered with the Innocence Project and Red Cross. She also excelled academically, receiving awards for Outstanding Student in both Political Science and Criminal Justice, as well as the award for Student of Distinction in Criminal Justice.
After college, Sarah earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa, College of Law, where she was elected to the Student Bar Association as Speaker of the House. She also won second place in the law school's Trial Skills Competition. While pursuing her law degree, she gained significant criminal law experience on both the prosecutorial and defense sides as well as in circuit and appellate courts.
Sarah has been a member of the Missouri Bar Association since 2020 and was elected to the Young Lawyers Section of the Missouri Bar in 2021. Prior to joining Silvey & Associates, Sarah served as an assistant attorney general for the State of Missouri, successfully arguing numerous cases in state appellate courts, presenting to fellow attorneys on the intricacies of extraditions, and attending countless professional development courses, including intensive trial and deposition training.
Sarah resides in Jefferson City, Missouri with her husband, Dallas, and her son, Anderson. She enjoys golfing, camping, and traveling; she cherishes her faith and quality time with her family.
Sarah is licensed to practice in Missouri.
Jennifer Thompson, Paralegal
Jennifer was raised and grew up in St. James, Missouri where she graduated from John F. Hodge High School and went on to play college basketball.
She has been married for twenty-eight years and has two children. Her daughter played basketball at Mizzou and her son is in the military.
Her legal career began in 1994, in Colorado Springs, Colorado working in the litigation department for California Casualty Insurance Company.
Her family moved back to Missouri in 1998, and she worked at Steelman and Gaunt Law Firm doing personal injury, medical malpractice, and trucking cases.
In 2003, her family relocated to Jefferson City, and she continued her career as a paralegal handling personal injury, criminal/traffic cases and family law cases.
Jennifer has worked at Silvey & Associates as the lead paralegal for the last six years.
